About

Emily grew up in an artistic environment that encouraged creative exploration. She often travels to Kaua’i and spends summers on Galiano, always bringing her sketchbook along. Emily’s art reflects both the vibrant colours of Kaua’i and the rugged landscape of the West Coast. Emily went on to study at Capilano University, earning the Degree of Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication - Illustration. Her introduction to pottery started with exploring clay in Waldorf school and in her mothers art room. This exposure fostered a love for the craft that was put aside until a friend booked a evening pottery class. Emily found her passion by combining her love of illustration and clay together to create unique pieces of work. As a self taught potter, she is proud of the work she has created and she continues to strive for greatness and experiment with new designs and more advanced forms that reflect her signature style, living aloha.
